The Business Journal reports that Boeing has signed a lease for the 41st and 42nd Penthouse Floors of the Russell Building in downtown Seattle (previously the WaMu building). This is great news for the region! It means the Boeing corporate executives see value at being here, near their roots, and at the center of the Pacific Rim trading area of the United States. It wasn't long ago that the main execs bailed to Chicago to run their headquarters and we were worried they were going to move their plants overseas. Companies everywhere are afraid to make monetary or long term commitments, this action speaks volumes about how Boeing feels about Seattle.
