Seattle Goes to the Polls!

For the first time in over a hundred years on November 3rd, Seattle will be electing it's City Council Members based on geographical Districts, instead of city-wide. This has huge implications for the political process and the future direction of the city. There will be 7 District, or neighborhood races. And there will be two candidates elected for “At-large” City Council seats from a citywide race.

Crosscut has done a great job of putting together a series of video interviews moderated by Robert Mak, a long-time Seattle reporter called “Assessing 9 City Council races“.

I strongly recommend people interested in learning about the City Council Candidates watch these videos, at least for the districts they reside in.
