Building the “Coolest crib on the Intracoastal”, Vanilla Ice (also known as Rob Van Winkle) flexes his rehab muscles in his all new “Vanilla Ice Project” reality TV show. The 2nd season premiered last night on the DYI Network. He's focusing on an ultra-luxury property where your average flipper rarely goes. His first project is a 7,000 sq ft Palm Beach mansion. The previous owner had stripped it to the bone, so everything needs to be redone. Like a lot of reality shows, each week Rob does a different room or part of the house. The difference is that this involves a lot of pricey high-end finishes that requires expensive materials and journeyman-level skills. In the first episode they do a front yard transformation that includes a custom gate and a complete landscaping re-do. This makes a lot of sense when you think about the 1st impression impact and the fact that landscaping is the only part of a rehab project that you want to MATURE during the process! When the other parts of the rehab are finished, the entry landscaping will look even better! The show is worth tuning into if you like this kind of format and enjoy remodeling topics.
